The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) general test measures skills that have been acquired over a long period of time and are not related to any specific field of study. The general test yields separate scores for the verbal, quantitative, and analytical abilities related to success at the graduate level in all college departments except business.
Admission requirements to the graduate school of your choice are issued by each graduate program. Consult the home page of your desired major or request a graduate college catalog from the Graduate School at UTSA.
GRE General Exam
The General GRE is administered by computer only; it is no longer offered in the paper-and-pencil format. Students may call (800) GRE-CALL for computerized GRE scheduling or visit the GRE website.
GRE Subject Exams
The GRE Subject tests are available via paper-and-pencil format at a limited number of sites. Check the current GRE registration booklet or the GRE website for a complete listing of test sites.
